CM Hoti lays floral wreaths at bomb site at People Mendi to pay homage to martyrs
After Eid prayers that he offered at Governor?s House, the Chief Minister of Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haider Khan Hoti visited on Saturday bomb explosion sites in various areas including Pipal Mandi, Chirrikoban, Soekarno Chowk and the Judicial Complex where he expressed solidarity with the bereaved families of those killed in the bomb blasts and prayed for the health of the injured.
The Chief Minister laid floral wreaths at the bomb sites to pay homage to the shuhada.
Speaking to the media, CM Hoti said the provincial government had initially approved Rs 5 million for the reconstruction of Jamia Masjid Umm-e-Habiba at Chirrikoban. Hoti said the government had asked the mosque committee to make a design of the mosque building adding the government would give more funds for the mosque reconstruction.
Later, Hoti also laid floral wreaths at the memorial of the police shuhada at the Police Line Peshawar. The chief minister also went to the Army Stadium bomb blast site to pay tributes to the shuhada.
In view of expressing solidarity with the families affected in terrorist acts, the provincial government observed Eid with simplicity and there was no Eid Milan party.
Talking to the media on his visit to the Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar on the second day of Eid, the chief minister said the people of the province were proud of the performance of the hospital staff. The chief minister inquired after the health of those injured in the bomb blasts. |
